If the users chooses the "Save Link As..." context menu action to save an URL, there was no quick way to immediately open or display the file. To do so, the user had to manually enter the local URL in the location bar or to navigate there using Dolphin part.
This introduces a KMessageWidget which is shown in such situation by WebEnginePart. The widget contains three buttons:
- one to open the file in an external application
- one to embed the file in a new tab
- one to embed the file in the current view
If more than one application or part is available for the file, these buttons also contain menus which allow the user to choose a specific part or application to use.
To avoid disrupting the user's workflow in case he isn't interested in opening or embedding the file, the widget is automatically closed after 5 seconds.
